STROKES IN COVENTRY

The  aims of the group is to give people the opportunity to:-

• Socialize with other stroke survivors and carers who are living with the effects of a stroke and share their experiences
• Communicate information
• Represent the views of stroke survivors and their carers on different local and national committees
• Maintain contact with the professionals in the world of stroke within the PCT
• Suggest practical solutions to achieving tasks in everyday life
• Provide a list of agencies and voluntary organisations which might be helpful to stroke survivors and carers
• Participate in research into stroke in terms of rehabilitation and prevention  of further strokes
• Help in the training of professionals in working with people who have had a stroke
• Provide a list of events happening in the world of strokes locally and nationally
• Develop a website to give members access to this information.
